August 2016 - Welcome to the New School Year
Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year at Gold Beach High School. I hope that all enjoyed a fun and safe summer break and are ready to start the new school year with focus and a positive attitude towards learning. Our excellent staff is excited to share their knowledge and guide students' learning in preparation for individual interests and career pathways.

I find that students will be successful in school if they follow "The Four A's Way": Attendance, Attitude, Academics and Activities. There is no particular order of importance because each of these words are interdependent upon each other. First, you need to be at school and on time to all classes with a positive and respectful attitude. Learning occurs not only in the classroom but with the addition of a balanced activity life with athletics and clubs. If one area suffers, it will directly impact the other three. Having goals to address these areas will set students up for success.

Our school is always open for visitors to observe the fine work of our staff and students. Please call ahead so we can arrange the best time for all. If you have any questions or concerns (or praises), please call or email me and I will respond as quickly as possible.

Make plans now to attend our back to school night on Monday, September 12, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. I look forward to meeting you then.

Sincerely,

Tim Wilson, Principal
